This is a place where all of you is welcome
The intense, the raw, and everything in between – exactly as you are.
I get it…
The idea of feeling welcome as you are seems impossible when your whole life has depended on contorting yourself into expectations you can never quite meet.
Constantly feeling not enough. Needing too much.
It lands you frozen.
You’ve developed the skills of reading the room and getting to know what’s expected of you.
And you’ve mastered the art of trying your best to follow these expectations.
But it’s left you disconnected from yourself and the world around you.
This is where my work comes in.
You won’t be asked to think your way through it and I won’t give advice that lands in your head while your body keeps bracing.
You’ll no longer feel as though the disconnection you’ve been carrying is a personal failure.
Because finally, I’ll show you that it’s a logical response to living in a world that was never designed to hold all of you.
This is somatic and creative nervous system-informed work that holds the personal and the cultural in the same breath.
It doesn't ask you to fix yourself. It asks what becomes possible when you're finally met – exactly as you are.
I bring deep compassion while fiercely believing in what's possible when you finally have space to unfold
Hi, I’m Claire.
I support people riding the complex waves of trauma, chronic pain, illness and neurodivergence to feel more alive and connected.
For over 18 years, I've been working as a Registered Music Therapist in the realms of trauma, mental health, chronic pain and attachment.
It was my own unravelling a decade ago that grew me up as a therapist. Multiple traumas and crises converging at once until I became completely immobilised.
More knowledge didn’t help me. What did was knowing that I wasn't broken – the culture was.
This took me deeper into somatics and embodiment, and into critically examining the cultural soup we're swimming in – because we can't separate our health from the culture we live in.
When you work with me, I see the parts that so often get missed
I hear the cracks in your voice at the precise moment that something you said felt incredibly hard to say out loud.
I see the glances away as we get closer to the truth of the matter.
And your stories get held with the full bodied presence they deserve.
I believe care is what we need in the world right now.
But not the care we’ve been shown so far (it’s been drenched in shame).
The care we need is the care that existed long before capitalism and patriarchy told us what was best for us.
Chronic pain, trauma, illness and stress doesn’t have to mean hiding and simply existing.
It gets to be a time of exploring a whole new way of care.
Except we can’t do it alone.
We need to gather together to build the skills, have the conversations and reweave the version of care we want to see in the world.
The world needs this work more than ever – now.
So I'm inviting you to walk it with me.
Not perfectly. Not in a straight line. But together.
Breath by breath.
Move by move.
Thread by thread.
“Claire has a gift to be able to hold space for others and bring forward what is in our hearts.”
